9 April 2014 Rosneft President, Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin had a meeting with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Within these negotiations, a Partnership Agreement has been concluded between Rosneft and Moscow Government to extend use of natural gas as motor fuel.

In particular, the document foresees the establishment of a working group to secure use of motor fuel for motor transport.

The signed Agreement is a logical continuation of instructions set by the Government of the Russian Federation and the President of the Russian Federation for implementation of a range of measures aimed at improvement of energy efficiency by using gas as motor fuel.

At the meeting Igor Sechin and Sergei Sobyanin also discussed key areas of cooperation between Rosneft and Moscow Government. One of the topics of discussion was implementation of the Company’s investment projects in the region of construction of non-manufacturing (social) facilities in Moscow. Aside from that, Igor Sechin and Sergei Sobyanin discussed the issue of modernization of filling stations to improve the quality of service.
